I hardly ever write reviews but after reading this ***, I feel like it was needed. A friend recommended Watersports to me after I received a ridiculous quote to replace the bellows from a repair shop in Lewisville. Chris Ellis did the work for less than half the price. He explained everything to me before the work was performed. I will not go take my boat to anyone else. Some of these reviews were obviously written to cause harm to Watersports Unlimited. I understand that not everyone has a great experience like myself but I would recommend these guys to anyone.

A Very Bad Person went on our Web Site and Said Very Untrue Things and then He Completely Crash our Web Site that We spent Thousands to put it together. And our Good Web Site that He Crash brought us thousands of Customers for years... Then he put all of the Bad, Untrue thing on World Wide Goggle... Then He Stole all of our Contracts to do the same type of Business as we do. Now for the last year he has gone on Craigslist and Flags and Deletes all of our good Boat ads. For Sales, Service, Consignment and Storage... He Deletes all of our ads every day.... WHAT IS REALLY, REALLY SAD THE SHERIFF'S DEPT SEEMS TO BELIEVE HIM FOR THAN US AND THE COLLIN COUNTY SHERIFF HAVE REALLY DRAGGED THEIR FEET AND LET THIS GUY GET AWAY OF COSTING US OVER $ 300 HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS IN SALE AND POSSIBLE A LOT MORE... AS LOTS OF YEARS WE GROSS OVER $ 500,000. GOOD CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES ON GOGGLE..... LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK? Sincerely, J. R. Fulton

I took my boat in this past summer for repair work. Chris and J.R. told me that the repairs would be $325.00 for a summarizing and oil change. went to pick up my boat and the bill was OVER $650.00! WTF? I asked them why and they claimed that there were "more problems" that came up that had to be fixed "right away". These people are VERY DECEPTIVE. I researched these people and found out that Chris Ellis uses his middle name instead of his "real" name because of his lengthy criminal record. his real name is David Chris Ellis- Google him and find out for yourself or better yet- go to Collin County judicial search online and look up his arrest records. J.R. fulton or "john Robert fulton" used to conduct business in the name of "the trading post"- or "trading *** post" as one customer online here calls them....Lol. He now goes by the name of watersports unlimited "corp". just ask tyourself WHY THAT IS. Bill Look out for these people- Total CROOKS

Fulton , AKA "JOHN ROBERT FULTON" and Chris Ellis (PARTNER IN CRIME) changed the name of the business from the Trading Post to "Watersports Unlimited" because of CHRIS "DAVID "Ellis' CRIMINAL RECORD including HARBORING A FUGITIVE, among many other SERIOUS CRIMES, and the MASSIVE AMOUNT of COMPLAINTS AND LAWSUITS FILED AGAINST JR Fulton and watersports unlimted and Trading Post. Fulton was also RUN OUT OF DALLAS as a CAR DEALER because of his SHADY DEALINGS AND BUSINESS PRACTICES. Google these crooks before you do business with them and ALWAYS- ALWAYS- ALWAYS- REQUIRE PROOF OF EXPERIENCE FROM THEIR SO CALLED "MECHANIC" Chris Ellis. DEMAND PROOF! ELLIS HAS NO FORMAL EXPERIENCE IN A REAL BOAT REPAIR FACILITY NOR IS HE CERTIFIED OR TRAINED- like any normal REPUTABLE BOAT REPAIR BUSINESS WOULD REQUIRE THEIR TECHNICIANS TO BE. You can believe the FAKE REVIEWS on their Facebook page and various other online areas, BUT I SURE AS *** WOULDN'T!! The LOCALS in the area DON'T USE THEM and THAT'S FOR A REASON!!! Fulton LOOKS INNOCENT (79 year old man), but he FITS. THE TRUE DEFINITION OF A 1970's "SLICK" USED CAR SALESMAN. THAT WILL *** OVER MONEY ANY CHANCE HE CAN GET! THIS IS TrULY A BUYER BEWARE SITUATION!!!

Very tired of this ONE guy trolling the internet bashing these guys. Chris and J.R. are two of the fairest guys I have ever met. I have purchased 3 boats with them over the years, 2 financed and 1 in cash. 2 of them were in perfect working order, and 1 had a minor issue, which they fixed at no additional charges. These guys are more than fair with there prices and their service. I brought them another boat on a separate occasion that was not purchased through them, this time a project boat. Their mechanic did a GREAT job doing a complete engine rebuild for me. They also recommended the absolute BEST upholstery place in DFW, who I use regularly now with my projects. These gents are top notch, friendly & highly recommended by thousands of past & present customers as well as by their community. Enough said, 5 stars for these guys. I'm going back for #4 this spring! See you soon fellas!

Everything about this place is shady. Be ware on everything old man JC Fulford says. He's old and forgets what he promises to customers. He also runs your checks even if you don't on of his boats

I was looking into buying a used boat and several friends recommended Water Sports unlimited. When I looked up the site online I see the complaint page and I read it. I asked people who have known J.R. for a long time and they assured me there was no truth to these claims. It seems there should be a settlement on record before this kind of information is published. I don't believe the accusations, but not everyone knows other people from the area that helps them make a good judgment of the integrity of this business. I think that the fact they have been in business for so many years says they must be well run, or they would have went out of business by now.

He Come in and said we damaged his Boat and we did not such thing. But to keep the Guy from raising all kind of *** we Repaired his old junky *** Boat that was not worth $ 1,500 and He said a lot of things in his 1st complaint that were not true at all because he was mad and Chris and this Guy calls the Police and the Police said it is all civil. And I made the Guy happy and should be the end of the Story.... Does anyone ever Sue Google for letting thing be post that are mostly all not the Truth.... How pissed do you have to be to write a review online? Pretty pissed. Lets start with the first call. I have a boat and I call and get J R. He probably uses initials because hes had so many law suits. JR Fulton tells me there will be no money charged until they identify the problem. Im thinking ok..They have a shop in a pasture maybe they will be reasonable. I make the commute from Frisco and when I get there, wasps are flying around a complete dump of a house. Im certain no one lives there and here comes JR, Im knee deep in this now because he's here and its really uncomfortable because its very dumpy around there. I read once he ripped a few folks off but like a fool I think oh Im sure it was a some other situation right.. Well J R writes a ticket for me and puts a 90 dollar inspection scribbles on the ticket. I said I thought you told me repeatedly there is no charge until we know what the problem is? He said oh yea yea sure. I know what the problem is I want them to confirm with their professional mechanic... Well his henchman Chris Ellis calls a few days later..Thats at least 4-5 days for them to look at it. He clearly has a parttime mechanic. Anyway I purchase a lower unit in advance in case I need because Im not getting any response from them on what to do or if its the lower unit. Chris tried to again sell me a 90 fee for ?? I told him J R said no money would be charged. I came here wanting to fix whats wrong not for a cleaning I just did that. So turns out they decide its not a lower unit its cables. Chris insist 100% percent sell the lower unit you have its fixed. I sell the unit I have and pass on the svings. So I pay them $250 a few weeks later I pick it up and water test...Sure enough same thing. NOthing has changed. I call him..he says sure bring it back...obviously the way hes talking Im beginning to wonder if they really know what their doing. He said they tested it but now when I ask he says they just ran the hose on it. I said you didnt even put it in a tank or something?! I bring it back thinking maybe they will shoulder some responsibility. Maybe I can get lucky and its cables or something I've already paid for! Well keep reading. Chris Ellis calls a week later.. keep in mind this has been a month now. Chris says yea you need a lower unit. I say the one I had?? I sold it after you told me too. He says not my problem, I should have paid the 90 to water test it> I said well I told you in the first place what I wanted fixed why would I want you to find other problems before we fix this problem. He quickly just says come and get it...I said after I waited patiently and paid you already your going to tell me to come get it. obviously I cant image them actually fixing right at this point so I said my pleasure. 50 mins later Im on site and cant wait to get my boat out of his pasture shop and incompetence!! Im getting the boat ready for tow and sure enough I see Chris or JR ran the back into something!!! What else! My engine hood is cracked and when I go confront Chris about it he got very guilty and aggressive. Chris starts acting like a badass. I called the police. The funny thing was I took it directly to another mechanic and they just adjusted the cables!! Took 15 mins. They wanted me to spend $700 on a lower unit and it didn't even need one! These folks are total *** and I would pay them half price to even change the oil! Clearly between the three of them they were out of their league with this simple fix.
